Here is our long awaited article for New York Family Magazine, Brooklyn Edition, November 2008. Check out Gabby's daughter Chloe. She is now officially a super model. At least in they eyes of a first grader.
CNN came to our store and featured us on their morning show, American Morning. Marcie even got some screen time! We are the second store they check out.
Give it a minute to down load and excuse the commercial.
Click here to see the segment.
Gabrielle was interviewed for BCATs show Sector B all about small businesses in Brooklyn. We are the second store they go to. Check it out!
Our first big write up, after Clinton Hill Blog's plug, was on the famed brownstoner blog.
Click here to read the brownstoner article.
We have to add that some of the commentary is hilarious! Enjoy!
Still Hip's first write-up ever! Thanks

got kids? know somebody who's got kids? or expecting a kid? you should check out still hip, a just-getting-off-the-ground local kids-and-maternity resale shop run by two local mothers. they're still running presale events out of marcie's house for now, so you have to go their website and fill out an invite form to get the location info. but it takes all of two seconds, and then you get to go check out all of the great merch they have. we went last week and made out with a whole summer wardrobe for $20.

Hi Gabby and Marcie,
Just thought you'd like to know that all that "hemming and hawing" over which boots to buy for Lucas paid off... he loves his new yellow rain boots! He wanted to wear them outside on Sunday--although it wasn't even raining--and then again inside on Monday!
And Curious George at the Laundromat was a hit as well.
We're batting a thousand so far.
Thanks for your patience and help,
Janet Barad and Lucas

YAY! for Still Hip. Lulu and I had a very successful shopping spree at Still Hip today. We got
a LOT of great pieces for fantastic prices. I'm so happy to have access to a shop like this.
It's a great way to Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and save money! Let's help them find a
permanent home in the neighborhood.

Customer Pleas for a Storefront
"I would love to see a Still Hip store front in this neighborhood. A huge number of families have moved here over the past five years and we have to go out of the neighborhood to shop for our children. I would much rather shop locally for convenience and to support neighborhood businesses. Still Hip offered me a cheerful, local shopping experience and cute children's clothes at good prices, plus the added benefit of saving resources by re-using gently used clothes. Now I just need the store so I can shop there on a regular basis!"

"I hope that Still Hip finds an affordable storefront to stay in the Clinton Hill area. I love being able to buy used children's clothing near by."

"As a current and extremely satisfied customer of Still Hip, I am looking forward to the day when they have a storefront space in Clinton Hill. I live in an adjacent neighborhood (Bedford-Stuyvesant), which is lacking in retail services, and I would love to have to go no farther than Clinton Hill to find children's and maternity shopping opportunities. Clinton Hill, Fort Greene and the surrounding neighborhoods are booming with young families these days, so I have no doubt that their business will continue to thrive."
Laura Marks
"I love Still Hip! It's difficult to travel at all when you're wrangling a baby or toddler and having a consignment shop nearby makes shopping for the ever changing needs of my daughter so much easier! And putting a consignment shop in such a kid-friendly (and kid populated) neighborhood only makes sense. I know I'll feel like 'how did I live without this?!"
April Peveteaux
"Still Hip is an invaluable resource for parents. I found many item in great condition at affordable prices. Both of the proprietors, Gabby, and Marcie are very helpful and attentive in helping me find items I needed and provide outstanding customer service. I felt great knowing that I was making a positive contribution to the environment by reusing items instead of buying new ones. I live in Williamsburg Brooklyn, but plan of visiting Still Hip in Clinton Hill. I sincerely support their business, and plan on being a long time client."
