ABOUT THE PERFORMERS
Vibraphonist BILL WARE is a consummate jazz artist, performer, composer, arranger, band-leader, teacher and philosopher. Bill has performed, recorded and toured internationally with hundreds of artists, most prominently as a charter member of the internationally renowned jazz group The Jazz Passengers, which features guest appearances by Blondie star Deborah Harry, guitarist Marc Ribot and vocalist Elvis Costello. In the 1990s, Bill was at the heart of the New York City "acid jazz" scene with the popular band, Groove Collective. Bill has also completed several recordings and tours with Steely Dan. Recent projects include the Rez Abbasi Acoustic Quartet - which performed recently at the Newport Jazz Festival; and the Jazz Passenger's newly released comeback recording "Reunited." THE ITTY BIDDIES' irrepressible, genre-defying sound has earned them an avid following-not just in their native New York, but throughout the United States and beyond. Their interactive, energetic show will take children on a journey of the imagination through storytelling and song. Everyone will dance at a ho-down, soar over imagined rivers and play instruments they didn't know they had. The three gals, Deidre Rodman Struck (piano), Lee Ann Westover (ukulele), and Saskia Lane (upright bass), share the mic and the song-writing, collectively making witty, imaginative sing-along songs that everyone can delight in. A joyful time will be had by all! Click here to check out the Biddies.

THE BLUE POTATOES is a unique and innovative group in the world of children's music, playing folk, rock and world music for kids and their families. Everyone can enjoy our original music and traditional favorites - babies to teens, parents, teachers, caregivers, grandparents, the whole family! Of our five regular members, three are classroom music teachers, three are parents (some of us are both!), and all are working musicians, so we bring a special combination of educational knowledge, parental nurturing, and rock-and-roll star quality to every performance, no matter how big or small. RENE COLLINS effortlessly weaves together the subjects of spiritual progress, love, and nature to create a unique musical and lyrical style. Charismatic, charming and energetic, he woos the audience with his powerful vocals, sensitive lyrics and down-to-earth manner. His polyrhythmic strumming style creates head-bobbing grooves, with memorable hooks that will linger in your head the next morning. His second CD with Blue Ceiling, "Tales from the Spiritual Lost and Found" has been released, and he is currently recording his solo CD "Afromystic", which evokes his unique blend of acoustic folk-rock, hip hop and reggae influences. Urban Alternative is the genre they go by and that truly sums up JAH C AND THE ANTIDOTE. Put that with a funky DJ and you have a new genre that is sure to be the newest trend in music today. Click here to check out Jah C's video Summer Love.
