Still Hip was started by two local Clinton Hill moms who were on the search for a good quality kids and maternity resale clothing shop. They found few options and decided the best thing was to join forces and start our their own shop. Still Hip! Raising and outfitting children can be very expensive these days, especially in NYC. Resale is such an obvious way to save money as well as a great way to help our landfills from overflowing.
GABBY
Gabrielle, or Gabby as most people call her, is the hip mom of Still Hip! She was born and raised in Brooklyn. Her family lived on a small block in Park Slope where 4 generations of their family had lived before, in the same house. After making it through Brooklyn College and earning a degree in Art History, Gabby was ready for the big league. She started working in advertising. Her career peaked when she became the Senior Art Director for a small firm dedicated to direct mail. In her spare time, she worked as a visual artist recycling furniture to create functional art. When Gabby became a mother she opened an online shop and teamed up with other artists to create fresh designs to help kids dress like superstars. The idea finding a way to reuse her children's clothing and toys led her to the idea of Still Hip. Now she is a single mom raising her two superstars and loving life in Clinton Hill.
